Rally round the party

In anticipation of Earth Day, the environmental activitists are sponsoring nation-wide rallies next Saturday, April 14th to demonstrate for swifter action for Clean Energy. I’m too claustrophobic to feel comfortable at demonstrations and rallies (I managed to get through the entire decade of the 70’s with no more than a whiff of tear gas), but I’m going to turn up for this one. Given that Berkeley has no less than three events scheduled, it might be hard to avoid
it .

But for once, the Granola Bowl will not be alone. For information on events all over the country, go to: http://events.stepitup2007.org/ally/moveon

I’m going to try to make the Town meeting in the Berkeley City College Auditorium from 9 a.m. to l p.m., and then maybe the rally at People’s Park in the afternoon. There’s also a Bubble Parade, but I can probably give that a miss.

I’ll be wearing my teal party hat. See you there!
